Well, I posted that a bit too soon.

I've just been reading this mornings paper, and they
have a short article about this.

Turns out that the reason is due to a combination
of 'family commitments' and lower than expected
ticket sales. Apparently, the promoters expected
sales of 15000 to 18000, but say that they've
only just reached 10000. The promoters partly
blamed the recently announced Rolling Stones concert
for the shortfall (40000 tickets sold in a couple
of hours - and those were twice as expensive as
Billy's too!).

All in all, a bit of a pisser really. :(
